Ray was a teacher of writing and literature for 40 years and served in numerous educational leadership roles. He holds a Master’s Degree and was the recipient of Normandale College’s Teacher of the Year Award and the University of Texas’s National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Award for Excellence (NISOD).

Ray is Advanced Certified and has facilitated Eagala sessions for 13 years in Minnesota (Acres for Life, Park Avenue, HOPE Ranch). He has been Eagala’s Network Coordinator for Minnesota for nearly 10 years, served as an Eagala Mentor, was Military services coordinator at Acres for Life, and Minnesota’s coordinator for Operation Sanctuary, an initiative to provide equine services for veterans and their families.

Ray is passionate about Eagala work and its power to change the lives of both client and facilitator. He is a life-long learner, loves working with horses and people, and is committed to growing personally and professionally and helping others do the same.

Ray’s mentoring style is grounded in his broad clinical and experiential background. He has worked with diverse populations, including individuals facing addiction, young children and adolescents, people with special needs, first responders, and military personnel. His expertise also extends to leadership development and team-building within educational and corporate environments, where he’s facilitated growth for teachers, administrators, HR teams, and executives alike. Known for his ability to offer insight and support, Ray is passionate about helping practitioners refine their approach and realize their potential through the Eagala Model.
