Colette Junod, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing trauma-informed, ethically grounded care to individuals and families. Her career has included leadership in child protective services, school-based mental health, and multidisciplinary crisis response, focusing on supporting vulnerable populations through systems collaboration and compassionate advocacy.

She is certified as a Mental Health professional (MH) through the Eagala Model and is currently completing her Veterinary Social Work Certificate through the University of Tennessee. Her professional focus blends clinical expertise with the healing power of the human-animal connection.

Colette served as Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee at the Department of Community and Human Services in Alexandria, Virginia, where she helped guide best practices and ethical standards across complex systems of care. Her ongoing work emphasizes integrity, relational depth, and meaningful outcomes for clients.

As a military spouse and with both a son and a best friend in law enforcement, Colette is deeply committed to serving those who protect our country and communities. She is especially passionate about supporting first responders, military families, and children who have experienced trauma, and she brings this personal and professional dedication to her role on the Eagala Ethics Committee.

Colette is also the President and Co-founder of Justice for Paws Animal Rescue, a Metro DC-based organization dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for both animals and people. Through this work, she furthers her mission of building compassionate, connected communities where all beings are valued and supported.
