Bobbi Woolwine, MSW, LCSW, is an Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist based in Decatur, GA. A lifelong animal lover, she combines her dedication to integrating human-equine interactions with her research background to practice therapeutic approaches that foster emotional healing and learning.

At Emory University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Bobbi facilitated studies on human brain-immune interactions in individuals with mood disorders, cancer, and schizophrenia. As Director of Research Projects, she administered Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, IRB regulatory compliance, and inter-rater reliability standards. She also conducted standardized assessments, including the Structured Clinical Interviews for DSM-V Axis I Disorders (SCID) for NIH, CDC, and industry-sponsored projects. She served on Emory Psychiatry’s Clinical Research Oversight Committee and Data Safety and Monitoring Board and coauthored over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles.

As Vice Chair of the Eagala Research Committee, Bobbi lends her research ability to advance the scientific validity of the Eagala model. She is also the Eagala Georgia Network Coordinator and an MH with Stride Ahead and Winning Strides Equine Therapy Programs.

Bobbi cherishes her horses, Panda and Raven, who have been both mentors and companions on her journey.
